Is there a user manual?

Yes, here's a link to the user manual in PDF format Pointstreak K-ForCE User Manual

Do I need a laptop sun shade?

If you'll be scoring outdoors, we recommend using a laptop sun shade. The sun shade makes a big difference in visibility by cutting down the glare in outdoor conditions.

I'm a little league coach and we move players around each inning and substitute a lot. How does K-ForCE deal with that?

K-ForCE does not have a special lineup option for this kind of substitution in little league. But the normal substitution mechanism works OK. There is room for the starting player and eight substitutions. So if you wanted, you could use each player substitution slot for a different inning.

How many players can I have?

You can have 16 players in the line-up and up to 8 substitutions per player.

What about hit location for spray charts?

You can record hit location. Right click in the field area and then select ground ball, line drive, or fly ball.

How do I enter a DH for a player?

Enter the batting lineup as you normally would. Then for the player being DH'd for, leave a blank spot after the last batter (the 10th batter usually), and enter the non-hitting player after that (as the 11th batter). K-ForCE will see the blank spot and jump to the top of the order when looking for the next batter. But when K-ForCE looks for fielders, the player will be detected; and the correct fielding stats will be generated.

I've made a mistake, how do I undo it?

Click on Undo in the vertical menu along the At Bat scoring area.

How do I stop a game at 7 innings?

Just stop scoring. The only stat that uses the number of innings is ERA. There is an ERA stat for 6,7 and 9 innings in the Box Score.

How do I handle a team that has batted around in an inning?

Tap 'Batter Up' and the inning headers will be updated to indicate two columns for the same inning. Or from the main window, click on the inning column at the top and change the value. For example, if the team bats around in the 4th inning, go to the main window, click on the number 5 at the top, change it to a 4, then click on the at bat that you want to score. The other inning columns will be updated automatically.

What happens if I have more substitution than there is room for?

The scoresheet shows three places for player information (per at bat row). Once the third player is entered on the scoresheet, a scroll triangle is displayed. Click on it to scroll. There are enough rows to accommodate up to eight players per at bat row.

How do I indicate that an inning is over because of a run rule?

Some leagues have rules that cause an inning to be over before three outs are scored. Use 'last batter' to indicate that even though there were not three outs scored for the inning, the inning is over.
